yachting

In 2008, Noirmoutier celebrated the centenary of the "Bois de la Chaise" regattas, thanks to the Association La Chaloupe. Le Cercle de Voile du Bois de la Chaize (CVBC), refounded in 1993, reinstated sporting events organization like its predecessor -founded in 1908- used to do.

How could we possibly talk about yachting in Noirmoutier without mentioning these two major events of the "Belle Plaisance" (traditional pleasure-boating) on the French Atlantic Coast... This longevity gave wings to sailors who came from afar to compete on the Baie de Bourgneuf waters.

The restorations of beautiful units by the boatyard CHANTIER DES ILEAUX actually increases the number of participants to these nautical events, giving a real touch of elegance and finesse. A new 6mR, Takata, has recently come to enrich the already extensive mR fleet. Here are some examples of restorations carried out by the boatyard.
